There is so much we want to do, but very often, we find ourselves making mistakes or not taking action. The typical reaction then is to beat ourselves up internally or feel guilty about it.

But then, do you know anyone in the world who has ever got motivated by getting beaten up?

Or do you know anyone who, when they feel miserable and guilty, feels energetic enough to make positive changes?

Very rarely, isn’t it, or probably never.

When we are gentle and forgiving with ourselves, we allow ourselves to be our best friend.

When we abandon all shame about the past, we release our negativities and look forward again to life with hope, joy and enthusiasm.

When we do not criticize ourselves or refuse to put ourselves down, we acknowledge and own our inherent power of choice and really make a strong intention to create a happy, loving pathway for ourselves.

Be gentle and forgive yourself- a gift we need to give ourselves every day.
